Our Customer Projects page shows things folks have done using some of our materials. If you have built a boat, a race car, a model airplane, anything at all that might be of interest, and you would like to show it off, please send a short description of the project and a photo. We would like to include a few words about you, the builder, at minimum who you are and where you live. If you have a personal web page describing your project we would include a link to that. For our business customers we will highlight one product of your choice and provide a link to your web page for more information on this or other products. How about someone offering something new for us to post?
For our existing graphite customers, we continue to have style 94901-50" graphite, the 5.7 oz plain weave, and style 94933-50" graphite, the 6.2 oz twill weave. We also have 94905-50" Kevlar/graphite hybrid now in stock. Both of these graphite styles and the hybrid are BGF first-quality fabrics.
We also have a limited quantity of a 3K, 5.7 oz/sqyd, 2x2 twill, style 94233-50" graphite similar to Hexcel style 284. We received a price concession on this, as well as the 94140, so both of these are now priced lower than originally listed.
We also have a new, heavier graphite fabric. This style 94140-50" is a 12K material weighing 19.2 oz/sqyd, capable of replacing three layers of our 3K materials. Please check the Graphite page for additional information.
Graphite materials have been in tight supply due to heavy military demand. Availability is variable and seems to be improving. It is our intention to keep our regular customers supplied to the extent possible. Once those needs are met we will open up sales to new customers.
We have style 1016-1.5" unidirectional tape also listed on the Graphite page. Once current stock is depleted the price is expected to increase. We are out of the 1016-3" uni graphite at this time.
The Kevlar aerospace seconds that we have traditionally carried have been very scarce lately. We will certainly buy up any seconds that become available and list them here immediately. We always have first quality style 500 Kevlar in stock, along with style 120-38" Kevlar. We now have a good supply of style 285-50", and limited quantity of 285-60". 220-54" Kevlar will be back in stock the first week of December.
We have received a small shipment of style 286-38" Twaron® fabric. This is identical to the more familiar style 285 Kevlar aside from the source for the yarn. Please see our Fabric Information page for a discussion of Twaron and Kevlar yarns. Pricing is on our Kevlar page.
We do not have any S-Glass fabric seconds on hand right now. We will post new information on S-Glass seconds availability here. Style 6781-50" listed at the bottom of our Fiberglass page is currently out of stock. The 6781 is made with a direct-sized yarn that does not require heat cleaning and finishing after weaving.
We get occasional inquiries from people wanting to have a mold constructed. If you are in that line of work we will be happy to refer these people to you. It would be good to have several such sources in different regions of the country. Let us know if you are interested.
In addition to Randy Carters Canoeing White Water River Guide, which we have had for some time, we now have four of the five volumes of Burmeisters Appalachian Waters river guides.
Please contact us for more information on anything on these web pages. Let us know if you find any broken links or other errors or have difficulties of any kind using the site. We have designed a site with minimal graphics so it will download quickly for those out in the boonies at the end of a long copper wire but we also want it to be user friendly. Suggestions Welcome!
